Stage 18: Terradillos de los Templarios - Bercianos del Real Camino

The Palencia town of Terradillos de los Templarios is located in the region of Páramos-Valles, in the center-north of the province.

There are two routes that can be taken after the first 5 kilometers in Calzada del Coto. The less traveled one turns right in the village towards Calzadilla de los Hermanillos.

The other route is a path built expressly for pilgrims by the Diputación de León. This route is shaded by plane trees. If we want to take it, we must go in the direction of Bercianos.

Although there are not many stops along this second option, we will pass through some villages. After about an hour's walk, we will arrive at the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Perales, which was once a medieval hospice that served pilgrims.

There is only about one kilometer left before we reach Bercianos. Here we will finally find a fountain before the main street of the village.

Already in this locality we will enjoy all the services that we need to supply ourselves.

Bercianos is another sleepy village located on the Meseta that helps pilgrims on their journey. From Sahagún, it is at least 8km to Bercianos del Real Camino.
